Our story
He carried a taste. We built it a home.
Three decades separate the journey from the shop. Here is what happened in between.

The year he left Jodhpur.
Our family is from Jodhpur. In 1995 our father made the journey south to Silvassa, the way people from Marwar have always travelled for work, carrying a big dream with him. He wanted to build something successful in a town that was not his own.
He also carried something less practical. He had grown up on the mithai of Jodhpur, on mawa kachori split open over rabdi and ghevar soaked in the monsoon, and he could not find any of it here. He talked about it for thirty years. जोधपुर की मिठास
The year his son opened the doors.
Jabbar Singh Rajpurohit founded Jodhpur Sweets Company in 2025. He was not new to building things. Twelve years of running businesses came in with him, and all of it went into one question: what would it take to make Jodhpur mithai properly, here, every single day.
The answer turned out to be expensive and slow. Pure desi ghee. Mawa reduced on the premises before opening. Small batches made through the day instead of one large batch at dawn. We have not found a shortcut worth taking yet.

What we will not change.
Pure desi ghee
शुद्ध देसी घी
We do not substitute it and we do not dilute it. It is the single most expensive decision in this shop and the one we will never revisit.
Fresh mawa, every morning
रोज़ का ताज़ा मावा
Milk is reduced on the premises before the shutters go up. Nothing is carried over to the next day.
Small batches, all day
छोटे बैच में
We make less at a time and make it more often, so what you buy at nine at night was not made at six in the morning.
Made with our love

This is a family shop. Every tray that leaves the counter has one of our names behind it.
The shop our father described.
